Turkish daily newspaper Sabah, has reported that their country’s secret services know exactly where Greek authorities are hiding the Turkish military officers that were granted asylum and subsequent protection in Greece.

The newspaper claims more than 200 people are guarding the Turkish officers at an estimated monthly cost of one million euros with the cooperation of Greek and American intelligence agencies.

The veracity of the report has not been confirmed or denied but the fact is Greek authorities are protecting the turkish military officers by granting them asylum, fearing that the Turkish government might attempt to kill them or kidnap them and return them to Turkey for trial.

Greek judicial authorities claimed the Turkish officers felt they would not receive a fair trial in their homeland, which is why they were granted asylum.
