Before arriving in New Zealand, he stopped over in Australia and visited the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese in Redfern where he was received and welcomed by His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos, Primate of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, who wished the newly elected Metropolitan all the very best in his new and sacred ministry.

Metropolitan Myron was accompanied by His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos of Petra and Cherronisos, the Very Revd Iakovos, Abbot of the Holy Stavropegiac and Patriarchal Preveli Monastery of Saint John the Theologian, the Very Revd Methodios, Vicar General of the Church of Crete, family, and friends.

During the visit to Australia, the newly elected Metropolitan of New Zealand also visited the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation of our Lady, Saint Andrews Greek Orthodox Theological College and the Primary and Secondary campuses of Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox College in Kingsford.
