Alexios

Video game publisher Ubisoft has teamed up with Amazon to create ‘Alexios’ an ‘Alexa’ enabled device and Alexa Skill, based on its upcoming action-RPG “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey,” who will answer all your questions! Looking for the latest news, weather, jokes? Alexios has you covered!

The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Spartan Skill is a free download for all Amazon Echo devices. It turns your virtual assistant into Alexios, one of “Odyssey’s” two main characters.

Alexios is able to do many things such as Alexa, but with a Spartan twist. The Skill also provides “Odyssey” players with useful in-game information to enhance their gameplay experience. For example, they can ask Alexios about specific points of interest in the game, including landmark descriptions.

Ubisoft is also producing a limited edition Alexios device. It’s an Amazon Echo Plus made to look like a Spartan helmet. A small number of them will be available for free as an Amazon giveaway promotion.

Starting today, Alexios can give you updates on the news, weather, tell you a joke, or add events to your calendar. On October 2 – the day Assassin's Creed Odyssey becomes available for players who pre-ordered the Gold Edition – the Spartan skill will receive all-new functionality as it aids players in their journey through ancient Greece by providing historical background information on various sites in Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

Starting October 2, you can also ask Alexios to tell you more about certain in-game locations that you'll come across while exploring ancient Greece, such as "Tell me about Epidaurus" and you'll find out that "Epidaurus was strategically placed between Athens and Argos as an entry point for pilgrims. They would travel from all over Greece to the nearby healing sanctuary of Asklepios."

Alexios can provide additional information on more than 300 points of interest throughout Greece, making Alexios your go-to guy for all things Ancient Greek!
