The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride for 2018, took place over the weekend in Santorini.

Motorcyclists didn't fear Medicane Zorbas that Greece was experiencing, as they were participating in the global one-day fundraising event that aimed to raise awareness about prostate cancer and men's health.

The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride event originally started in Australia in 2010, and has become global, occurring simultaneously in about 600 cities and 90 countries around the world.

Participants in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride are formally dressed and get behind the wheel of their vintage or custom made motorcycle, riding around the picturesque Santorini island, one of Greece's top tourist destinations.

The main characteristic of the world's largest charitable motorcycle event that occurs in Santorini, is the participation of the local community and the residents of Santorini.

In 2016, the first Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was held in Santorini, where 30 motorcyclists from different parts of Greece and abroad took part. Last year with 70 participants, a total of 5,300 Euros was raised.
