Nikos Kotzias, Greece’s Foreign Minister and his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides will be participating in the 3rd Ministerial Meeting of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) in Barcelona on Monday.

The forum will bring together Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the UfM member States, with discussions focusing on addressing common challenges faced by Mediterranean countries.

According to the Union for the Mediterranean website “The UfM has proven to be a unique platform for dialogue and cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean region, a platform which remains relevant and, where the search for solutions to our common challenges is all the more necessary.”

This year’s meeting also coincides with celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Union.

Kotzias will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts.
