Greek PM in Brussels to talk Brexit and Migration with EU Leaders

Greece's Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will be in Brussels today for the proceedings of the European Council meeting where he will meet with the heads of all EU member states to discuss migration, internal security and the progress made on the issue of Brexit.

After the EU Council meetng, the Greek PM will join his counterparts in the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit will take place on 18-19 October.

The ASEM summit will bring together: heads of state or governments of 51 European and Asian countries, representatives of the European Union, and the Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Discussions will focus on the theme "Europe and Asia: global partners for global challenges" and leaders are expected to seek ways to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between the two continents on a wide range of areas, including: trade and investment, connectivity, sustainable development and climate, security challenges such as terrorism, non-proliferation, cyber-security, and irregular migration.
