USA condemns Greek decision to give furlough to terrorist

The US State department has condemned the decision by Greek prison authorities to give a new furlough to jailed NOV 17 terrorist Dimitris Koufodinas.

"We strongly condemn the latest release on furlough of N17 terrorist Dimitris Koufodinas, convicted of multiple murders including U.S. Mission personnel in Greece. This is a shameful injustice to the victims' families - terrorists shouldn't get vacations from prison," US State Department Spokesperson Heather Nauert said on Twitter.

Dimitris Koufodinas, who has received 11 life sentences, is obliged to return to the agricultural jail of Volos, central Greece, on Friday morning.
