According to Central Cooperative Union of Wine Products, Greece is ranked 9th among the EU member-states in wine production in 2018, with 2,157,193 hectolitres expected to be produced in 2018.
The cooperative's figures were submitted to the General Directorate of Agriculture on Thursday.
Total wine production among the 28 EU countries is expected to reach 168.4 million hectolitres, a 27 pct increase in comparison with 2017.
The EU's top wine producers are Italy, France and Spain.
