13-year-old Glykeria Skarkou steals the show at Athens Marathon

Talented 13-year-old runner, Glykeria Skarkou, stole the show at the 36th annual Authentic Athens Marathon during her participation in the 10 km race, which she was able to compete in for the first time this year as she was over the age limit.

The young girl was the fourth female to finish with a time of 37.41.

The all-around athlete, who also competes in gymnastics, was applauded by thousands of spectators when she ran over the finish line.

The passionate runner from Palaio Faliro, also won the bronze medal in the 5 km race in the 7th Athens Semi-Marathon in March this year.
