Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Development, Ilias Xanthakos participated in the Greek government delegation, headed by Alternate Foreign Minister, Giorgos Katrougalos, in Shanghai on the occasion marking the 1st China International Import Exhibition.
The large event took place between the 5th and 10th of November 2018 and Xanthakos said China is taking large steps in the economic field and it is determined to develop even more outward-looking policies and actions on a global scale.
"In order to increase Greece's exports of products and services to 50 percent of GDP by 2025, from just over 30 percent today, we need large and growing markets such as China," Xanthakos told Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
