Drones and 5,000 police officers for November 17 commemoration

The Greece police have announced they will deploy 5,000 police officers and drones for the commemoration of the November 17, 1973 student uprising against the Junta, which will culminate in a march towards the American embassy on Saturday.

The police officers will be strategically placed throughout the Greek capital, especially police stations and government buildings which are often the targets of anarchist attacks.

Meanwhile in Exarhia, the notorious anarchist stronghold undercover police officers will be monitoring the movements of people on the street and pedestrian traffic around a number of occupied buildings in the area.

Drones and a Greek Police helicopter will be flying over the centre of Athens.
