Greece’s merchant shipping fleet grew by 0.2% since September compared to the month last year, totalling 1,860 ships according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority’s monthly report.
The 1% increase in fleet numbers was recorded for the period 2017/2016.
In the same report, the Hellenic Statistical Authority noted that the total capacity of the Greek shipping fleet was 42,912,915 dwt, down 3.7% compared with the same period in 2017.
