Greece’s Alternate Foreign Minister, Giorgos Katrougalos is scheduled to meet today with Elizabeth Neumann US Assistant Secretary for Threat Prevention and Security Policy.
The meeting will take place in the at the Foreign Ministry in Athens.
The talks will focus on issues of bilateral interest with an emphasis on the preparations for the upcoming US - Greece Strategic Dialogue to open in Washington on December 13.
Neumann oversees Department of Homeland Security (DHS) – wide policy development and coordination for screening and vetting, terrorism prevention, counterterrorism, countering transitional criminal organisations, and other persistent and emerging threats.
She is also responsible for two operational programs- Visa Waiver Program and the REAL ID Program. Ms. Neumann works closely with other federal departments and agencies, states, and international counterparts to develop, coordinate, and implement these policies and programs.
