According to the Global Passport Power Rank 2018, the Greek passport is among the world’s most powerful, allowing Greek passport holders access to 164 countries.
A report released by financial advisory firm Arton Capital also revealed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is now the country with the globe’s strongest passport moving up from 3rd spot to first, allowing visa-free travel to 167 countries or 87 percent of the countries in the world. UAE passport holders can travel to 113 territories visa-free and 54 countries with a visa obtained on arrival.
According to Arton Capital’s list, the passports of Germany and Singapore -passport rank 2 – allow access to 166 countries, followed by Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Norway, South Korea and the United States – at passport rank 3 – enabling travel to 165 countries without a visa requirement.
Greece, along with Belgium, Austria, Japan, Portugal, Switzerland, UK, Ireland and Canada, hold a passport rank of 4, allowing vise-free travel to 164 countries across the globe.
