By 5 years ago

Greek Parliament approved on Tuesday night the 2019 draft budget submitted by the Tsipras government.

With a total of 297 deputies present at the roll call vote, the budget was passed with a vote of 154 whilst 143 MPs of the opposition voted against it.

The vote followed the closing address by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, who has noted that this is the first budget to be submitted in parliament after the completion of Greece's adjustment programme in August.
