Nick Kyrgios, who is currently ranked World No. 35 in men’s singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals, was sent to Canberra hospital over the Christmas period after suffering a spider bite on the foot.
“Got a spider bite on my foot. Christmas different every year” Kyrgios shared with his followers on Instagram. He later uploaded his followers on the situation by posting a picture of himself hooked to an intravenous drip with the caption “this spider bite outta control.”
Nick is set to play in the upcoming Brisbane International. Organisers are confident that the spider bite and the hospital visit would not derail Kyrgios’ preparations, as he prepares to play his absolute best.
The young tennis star who is also the Australian No.2, unfortunately had to end his 2018 season early after an elbow injury in October.
