A 15-year-old Greek girl who tried to write “Lina is perfect” with a black permanent marker on the historic Ponte Vecchio Bridge in Florence has been caught and fined.

The teenager is currently on holiday in the capital of Tuscany, along with her family.

According to Italian media reports, the fine is 160 euros for attempting to cause damage to a historic monument.

Years back Italy launched a campaign against vandalism as well as graffiti and writing phrases on the surface of historical monuments and landmarks around the country.
