Greece's annual winter sales have started as of Monday, January 14, 2019 and will conclude on Thursday, February 28, 2019.
The Athens Trade Association have made it clear that during the sales period, the price before and after the discount must be clearly displayed upon the sale items, while retailers can choose to indicate the percentage of the discount.
In addition, stores can also be open on January 20, the first Sunday of the sales period, with the recommended working hours of 11:00am-06:00pm. The day after, Monday January 21, the association have proposed that shops open at midday instead of 09:00am, as customer turnout on the Mondays after Sunday opening have been observed to be virtually nil.
Happy shopping!
