Maria Sakkari loses third round of Australian Open to Aussie Ashleigh Barton

Maria Sakkari had her sights on making the fourth round of the Australian Open, however, Australian Ashleigh Barty was too strong for Maria, who lost 7-5, 6-1 in the third round match.

Sakkari came off a straight sets win over Astra Sharma and looked strong in the first set before 15th seeded Barty took control of the game after breaking Maria’s serve and then eased her way through the second set.
