Greece braces for verdict on FYROM deal this Thursday

Greek parliamentarians prepare to cast their verdict on the historic Prespes Agreement with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia this Thursday.

Meanwhile, according to a decision by the Parliament presidents on Monday, discussions on the Prespes Agreement will run for two days in Parliament's Standing Committee for National Defence and Foreign Affairs and another two days in the parliament plenary.

Discussions began Monday and will continue today with the discussion in the plenary to begin tomorrow, on Wednesday. The sessions will start at 10am and run until 2pm the following morning.

Meanwhile, Democratic Alliance leader Fofi Gennimata has not yet sent a letter to the parliament president to inform him that she has expelled Thanassis Theocharopoulos from the party's parliamentary group, something that would trigger a series of changes to the composition of the National Defence and Foreign Affairs parliamentary committee.

For the time being, the committee includes two independent deputies, Dimitris Kammenos and Spyros Danellis. Theocharopoulos is also a member of the same committee, representing the Democratic Alliance.
