According to a report published by the "Helios" pension payment information system the average monthly Greek pension (basic and supplementary pension) totalled 896.5 euros in the August-September 2018 period.
The number of pensioners was 2,561,391, while average income from basic pension was 724.18 euros and the average income from supplementary pension was 172.32 euros. Another 97.84 euros was average income from dividends.
In September, authorities paid 4,463,557 pensions to 2,561,391 pensioners, for a total monthly spending of 2,301,223,209 euros.
