Following the ratification of the Prespes Agreement by the Greek and FYROM Parliaments, NATO sources say the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia's (FYROM) NATO accession protocol will be signed within the next few days.

"The date of the signing will be set shortly," the source said and explained the procedure as follows: "The protocol will be signed by all 29 allies, possibly at ambassador level, at NATO's headquarters.

“After the signing, Skopje will be invited to participate in NATO proceedings as a guest. Subsequently, all 29 allies (...) will ratify the protocol according to each country's national provisions. The time schedule will depend largely on the amount of time required for each one of the allies to complete the ratification procedures in their respective country."
