Maria Spyraki, New Democracy’s spokesperson and European People’s Party MEP, has stressed the need for a change in politics, in an interview with public broadcaster ERT on Tuesday.
The solution for Greece she states, is a new government with fresh mandate.
In the interview, she also stressed the importance of dealing with bad loans, as "this problem has become serious and New Democracy's proposal has not been taken into account."
Questioning whether the quality of life has improved, and citing a fall of the relevant indicators, she said that "a symbolic return to the markets is not enough. Look at Portugal's interest rate for example."
