Valentine’s Day, Την ημέρα του Αγίου Βαλεντίνου, is a day when people show feelings of love, affection and friendship by spending money on their spouse or partner.

A survey conducted by German firm Movinga found that Valentines Day in Athens  ranks fairly high in terms of costs for a typical February 14 evening out, placing the Greek capital 58th on the list.

The average cost of dinner and drinks for two plus two cinema tickets in Athens is 69.49 Euros, according to Movinga. The survey placed Zurich as the most expensive city for Valentines day, with the same evening out costing 140.03 Euros.
