Greece's tennis gun Tsitsipas wins ATP Marseille Open

Greece's tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Kukushkin 7-5 7-6 to win the Open 13 Final in Marseille without dropping a set, winning his second ATP title.

One break of serve was all the Greek would need in the first set, as he took it 7-5. Kukushkin would fight back to go up 5-3 in the second set, but Tsitsipas would then level it at 6-6 to force a tiebreaker. The 20-year-old Greek would go on to win the tiebreaker 7-5 to clinch the title. Tsitsipas was great on serve, hitting 14 aces and zero double faults in the match.

Tsitsipas has now not only scored his third win over the Kazakh in three attempts but also has won his second ATP title. Both of his titles came on indoor hard courts, as he won his first title in Stockholm back in October.

Tsitsipas will move up from his current career-high ranking of 12 to number 11 in the world when the new rankings are released tomorrow. With very few points to defend over the next few months, it is very likely that he will break into the top 10 in the near future.
