Protesting farmers remove blockade

By 5 years ago

Protesting Greek farmers at the Nikea blockade have withdrawn their tractors on Saturday after blocking the tunnels of Tempi on the Athens-Thessaloniki motorway.

Speaking to the media on behalf of the protestors, Costas Tzelas, a member of the blockades' committee said that the farmers have sent their message to the government which must find solutions to their demands immediately.

The farmers of Nikea blockade will hold a new meeting to decide on the future of the mobilisations while expecting the government's invitation for dialogue.

The farmers want to meet with a group of ministers under the chairmanship of government Vice President Yiannis Dragasakis.
