Yiayia holds a special place in every child’s heart and after taking care of him for such a long time, Antonis Spanoudakis wanted to show his Yiayia how much she means to him and made her 83rd birthday dream come true by surprising her with a holiday to Rome.
Antonis’ Yiayia had not left the country for decades and even though she uses a wheelchair, this was not going to deter Antonis from making sure his Yiayia made the most of her time in Italy’s capital, by visiting all of the amazing sites, including the Trevi Fountain, Vatican, and other historical monuments.
“She was like a little child,” said Antonis, who will forever cherish the time away with his Yiayia.
