The Greece Embassy in Germany intervened on Thursday at the Berlin International Tourism Fair, demanding the country signage that read name ‘Macedonia’ used by Greece’s northern neighbour, was replaced with its new constitutional name ‘North Macedonia’.

Speaking on their behalf, North Macedonia’s government spokesman, Mile Bosniakovski claimed it was a simple ‘unintentional technical mistake’ which was corrected immediately.

“Our government has stressed that it is committed to the full implementation of the Prespes Agreement in all areas, including the tourism sector,” said  Bosniakovski .
