According to lagadas.net, the Holy icon was found by accident on Tuesday, in between two plum trees that caught fire in the remote village. The stolen icon appeared after two locals were searching around and saw something shining amongst burnt trees.
Priest Fotis Arvanitidis, described the unexpected discovery as divine intervention, as there was not even the slightest scratch or ash on the icon.
