Behind the National flags of Australia and Greece, the Presidential Guard marched in the Anzac Day Parade for South Australia, on Thursday 25th April.
The Evzones were accompanied by the applause of crowds, who were honoured to have them partake in this years parade and honour the bravery and mateship of serving soldiers.
Australia and Greece share an enduring historical link, the countries were allies during both both World War I and II. In the Battle of Crete (May 1941, during World War II), Australian soldiers fought alongside Greek, New Zealand and British troops to defend the island against German invasion.
