Currently one of the world's leading basketball players, Giannis Antetokounmpo, otherwise known as the ‘Greek Freak’ has announced he is donating money to build an indoor basketball court for the youth of Rafina, in Attica, which was devastated by the tragic wildfires in 2018, leaving over 100 people dead.
The Mayor of Rafina- Pikermiou, Evangelos Bournous said the 'Greek Freak' is donating money for the entire indoor basketball court, which will be located at a 3-acre park, close to the police station at Ble Limanaki.
The new ecological park is currently being constructed at Rafina and among other facilities, will include the basketball court, which is expected to attract the youth of the area, providing them with plenty of reasons to keep active.
According to irafina.gr, the new basketball court will be named after the ‘Greek Freak’ and there will be seminars and training sessions held by the great Greek basketball player himself.
