Greek football is in shock and mourning, following news that former player for Iraklis and AEK, Giorgos Xenidis, died of a heart attack today, Monday 3rd of June at the age of 45.
The great player of AEK, Iraklis, Anorthosis and Ionian, among other teams, sadly passed away after a heart attack. Reports claim the veteran footballer felt sick and suffered a heart attack, without being able to receive medical care in time.
Xenidis was born in Thessaloniki on 6 December 1974 and started his career with Iraklis' before joining a professional team in the summer of 1994 and played left back for most of his career before retiring in July 2010.
