Famous Greek Chef, Akis Petretzikis has broken the world record and entered the Guinness World Records for making 3,378 burgers within an hour.

The record was broken in Thessaloniki on the last stop of the 'Coca-Cola & Akis Food Tour Festival', where the food festival visited 5 cities from the 4th to the 13th June 2019, to promote the burger classic 'Burger AP' with the coca-cola soft drink.

Coca-Cola and Akis, in collaboration with the Bodossaki Foundation, offered 60,000 meals to citizens who needed it as part of the food tour.

The previous record for the most amount of burgers made within an hour was 2,200 with Akis and the team beating it by 1,178 to make the total count of 3,378 burgers.

Participants not only ate a delicious free burger paired with a coca-cola, but they also partook in breaking the world record.
