Two large fires broke out in Greece yesterday, Thursday, June 13 in the areas of Agios Theodoros in Corinth and Pissona in Evia.
Fire brigades rushed to the scene in Evia at around 9 am, where the blaze swept through forest areas. It took 21 firemen, 14 fire engines and two aircraft to control the blaze, which continued through to the late evening.
The fire that broke out at Agios Theodoros, near Prophet Elias was a difficult spot for emergency services to reach, however, five fire trucks and dozens of firemen made their way there and are still trying to control the blaze, which luckily is not close to any residential areas.
