NBA’s Most Valuable Player of the Year for 2018-19, Giannis Antetokounmpo made Greeks worldwide proud by holding Greece close to his heart during the NBA Awards, sporting a blue blazer with images of the Parthenon on the inside while accepting his amazing award.
Now it has been revealed by the designer who made Giannis’ suit that the Greek Freak has requested for all of his blazers to feature images of Ancient Greek monuments on the inside lining.
Giorgos Papadogamvros is the Greek fashion designer behind these cool blazers and he says every time Giannis comes to Greece, he visits Giorgos and orders jackets with Ancient Greek images.
The “Greek Freak” stood proudly for the cameras, holding his outstanding award in one hand and his blazer open with the other, revealing the Acropolis, which is close to Giannis' heart as he was born and raised in the Greek Capital.

The designer was so happy that Giannis showed off his unique attire and posted a photo of the NBA legend wearing his jacket, saying, “ Bravo Giannara mou! You honor our country and go above and beyond…you are so worthy and by far the best kid! I also thank your brothers who all wore my suits!"
