Kyriakos Mitsotakis has been sworn in as Prime Minister of Greece, in the presence of Greece's President Prokopios Pavlopoulos and Archbishop of Athens Ieronymos at the Presidential Mansion.
"The hard work begins today. I have complete confidence in our ability to rise to the occasion," Mitsotakis stated after being sworn in.
Mitsotakis has also appointed his cabinet, entrusting most of the key posts to trusted aides:

- Defense Minister: Nikos Panagiotopoulos
- Infrastructure Minister: Kostas Achilleas Karamanlis
- Justice Minister: Kostas Tsiaras
- Development and Investments Minister: Adonis Georgiadis
- Citizens’ Protection Minister: Eleftherios Economou
- State Minister: Giorgios Gerapetritis
- Education Minister: Niki Kerameos
- Culture Minister: Lina Mendoni
- Agricultural Development Minister: Makis Voridis
- Foreign Minister: Nikos Dendias
- Parliament Speaker: Konstantinos Tassoulas
- Tourism Minister: Haris Theocharis
- Shipping Minister: Yiannis Plakiotakis
- Interior Minister: Takis Theodorikakos
- Finance Minister: Christos Staikouras
- Health Minister: Vassilis Kikilias
- Labor Minister: Yiannis Vroutsis
After Mitsotakis' victory on Sunday, the President of the Hellenic Republic telephoned New Democracy President and congratulated him on his party's victory in the 2019 general elections.
Among other leaders to send their congratulation to Mitsotakis was also the outgoing President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker who sent a congratulatory letter to New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis on winning the July 7 general elections.
Junker’s full letter reads:
"Dear Mr. Mitsotakis, I would like to congratulate you on your clear-cut victory in your national elections.
You know that my personal relationship with Greece and its people has endured a lot over the last decade. The dignity, endurance and European commitment of Greeks over the years deserve respect.
A great achievement and success - for which we are proud - of the European Commission, of which I had the honour of being the President, was to help Greece turn a page, come out of the crisis and plan its future.
Greece is currently in the position it deserves, in the beating heart of Europe and the eurozone. Much has been achieved, but much needs yet to be done.
I have absolute confidence in your personal ability and the ability of the Greeks to write a new and brighter chapter in your country's history.
You can count on my personal support and the support of the European Commission toward this goal."
