NBA's Most Valuable Player of the year Giannis Antetokounmpo plays baseball for the first time (VIDEO)

NBA's Most Valuable Player of the year, Giannis Antetokounmpo has swapped the basketball for a baseball bat, playing one of America's most beloved and iconic sports for the first time.

The Milwaukee Bucks star is in New York City with his three brothers promoting his new signature shoe.

Before watching the Yankees play the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, the Antetokounmpo brothers had the opportunity to meet some of the Yankee players and tour the facilities.

In a video released by the New York Yankees, the 'Greek Freak' is seen getting some coaching on how to play baseball before he took a few sings in the batting cage.

It was Giannis' first time playing baseball, and his determination and effort reminds us all that hitting a baseball is tough to master, even when the ball is sitting on a tee.

Antentokounmpo later told the Associated Press "it was really heavy, I thought it would be lighter.”

“I would be a terrible baseball player,” he admitted.

Although he wasn't the best at hitting the ball, NBA's MVP didn't seem frustrated at his misses, instead showing how much fun he was having and finding great pleasure in every swing, proving he's got an MVP personality.
