After a recent bout of unpredictable weather, which included storms, thunder and flash flooding, summer is returning to Greece, with temperatures set to rise to 30 degrees Celcius, in most regions, over the next 24 hours.
According to weather forecasts from the National Meteorological Service, those heading to the Aegean for a summer holiday will be happy to hear the sun will be shining and there are no expected showers over the next 10 days.
Meteorologists say that over the next two weeks, temperatures are set to reach around the 30 C mark and starting Thursday, July 18, clouds will clear up and winds will drop.
For Thursday, July 18, 2019, sunshine is expected with local clouds during the hot hours of the day, while sporadic rainfall will occur only in the mountains.
The temperature in Western Macedonia will range from 11 to 26 degrees, in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace it will range from 15 to 32. In other regions, it will be around 17 to 32, with the Ionian Islands ranging from 20 to 28, in the Eastern Aegean Islands from 20 to 31, and in the islands of the rest of the Aegean and in Crete it will range from 19 to 30 degrees.
