For the first time, Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas teamed up on the doubles court for the Citi Open held in Washington.

The duo played Wimbledon 2019 champions Sebastian Cabal and Robert Fara.

The two teams gave their best, however Cabal and Farah prevailed 6-3, 3-6, 10-5.

It must be noted though the respect, joy and love between Kyrgios and Tsitsipas both on and off the court, with them both stating that they want to team up again in the future.

Kyrgios also took to Instagram post game to state "We may go about things differently...but, tonight was a special moment and honestly it was awesome to share the court with you. It’s been cool to see you bloom into the player you are, and you are only at the beginning. You are gonna be able to help and influence a lot of people. See you in Cincinnati 🤩 📸 @ccsnaps13"

Following the match, the World No. 6 praised Kyrgios serves on the court and said that he felt inspired on the court playing with him. "I got inspired today, honestly, I won’t lie. His serve was brutal…I wish I could serve like that. It’s unbelievable to see that in a human being. Very very fun," he stated.

Kyrgios also made comments to the media post match, noting that Tsitsipas has "only just begun. Hopefully, he doesn’t make the same mistakes I have. If he keeps his head down, he can do some special things. He smells good as well. Every time before we’d serve I would [deep inhale]—‘not bad’.”

He also stated that he doesn't want to be a bad influence on the World No. 6, which is why he will he will maintain his distance from him off the court.
