Greece crowned European Champions in Wheelchair Basketball

Greece’s national team has won Division C at the 2019 European Wheelchair Basketball Championship held in Sofia, beating Serbia 54-44 in the Grand Final.

The talented Greek team advanced to Division B after winning the semifinal against Portugal and have now been crowned European Champions, after playing an outstanding game.

Fourteen countries, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, have all participated in the tournament.

The European Championships for Men Division C takes place every two years and acts as a qualification tournament for the 2020 European Championship for Men Division B.
