The Independent Public Revenue Authority's (AADE) Director George Pitsilis announced on Monday the linking of the Tax Registry with the Greek Police Identification Registry.
The electronic interconnection of the two services, which will be launched on Wednesday, comes in implementation of decision A. 1164/2019 by AADE's Director George Pitsilis and the Cooperation Protocol, which was signed with the Hellenic Police Headquarters.
With this new interconnected interface, AADE is automatically informed and updated of changes in Police Identity Cards (issue, replacement, loss and/or reissue).
Citizens will no longer need to visit the tax office to update their profile, but will receive a relevant message in their TAXISnet online platform inbox, informing them of the automatic changes. If the citizen does not receive a message within ten days via TAXISnet, then he/she should contact a local tax office.
