Greece’s new appointed Health Minister Vasilis Kikilias met with British Ambassador to Greece Kate Smith on Thursday to discuss bilateral issues.
During their meeting, both sides agreed to take measures protecting the healthcare of Britons in Greece and of Greeks in Britain in the event of a hard Brexit.
The Minister and UK Ambassador agreed to sign a cooperation accord focusing on sectors of the primary healthcare system, in preventative care, as well as in the exchange of technical know-how in tackling corruption in the health sector, and in the evaluation of services provided by state hospitals.
Special emphasis was given to the exchange of know-how in the field of health tourism, via specific actions and initiatives.
