7 Greek Universities rank among 1,000 best in the world

According to the 2019 Academic Ranking of World Universities which was recently released by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, seven universities in Greece and the University of Cyprus rank among the 1,000 best universities of the world.

The list includes:

• The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (world rank 301-400)
• Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (world rank 401-500)
• National Technical University of Athens (world rank 601-700)
• University of Cyprus (world rank 601-700)
• University of Crete (world rank 701-800)
• University of Ioannina (world rank 801-900)
• University of Patras (world rank 901-1000)
• University of Thessaly (world rank 901-1000)

The top five universities in the world according to the list are Harvard University, Stanford University, University of Cambridge, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of California, Berkeley.
