Giannis Antetokounmpo appears on the cover of Slam Magazine

Slam Kicks Magazine has dedicated its cover for this month’s edition to NBA’s Most Valuable Player of the year, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Slam is an American basketball magazine which has been in circulation since 1994.

This is the second Slam magazine that has focused on the "Greek Freak” launching his own “Zoom Freak 1” signature shoe line.

Written on the cover of the magazine is "Giannis God Level", while a video uploaded on YouTube explains the story behind the shoe and how he dedicates it to his family.

“All the shoes, as you guys can see, say ‘I am my father’s legacy.’ And right here,” he said in the interview with KICKS, pointing to the midsole, “you can see his name as well with my mom’s name.”

In other news, The Greek National Basketball team landed at Shanghai airport in China on Thursday morning, ahead of the Atlas International Tournament and FIBA Basketball World Cup.

The Greek National Basketball team will play against Jordan on 24th August, China on 26th August and Turkey or Senegal on 27th August, as part of the Atlas International Tournament.

On 28th August, the Greek team will travel to Nanjing, the city that will host the group Greece was drawn in for the for the FIBA World Cup 2019.

Greece is in Group F with Brazil, Montenegro, and New Zealand.
