A 28-year-old motorcyclist is being treated for injuries after a 50-year-old man tragically jumped to his death from Voulgari bridge in Thessaloniki and landed on a motorcycle, causing the cyclist to lose balance and crash.
The incident occurred late Monday at the eastern entry to the northern port city of Thessaloniki. Police said the 50-year-old fell off the 18-foot bridge and died instantly.
The 28-year-old Greek motorcyclist was taken to Papanikolaou Hospital by ambulance, suffering hand and leg injuries.
Police officers rushed to the scene and the road was closed off for investigation, while other motorists who witnessed the crash were also being treated for shock.
