The artist behind the smash single “Ti,” Josephine Wendel has officially kicked off her U.S tour! The talented singer has already completed her first stop in Tarpon Springs, Florida and is set to complete three more stops before she heads back to Europe. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Josephine, here’s a quick set of fun facts!

She is half German, half Lebanese, and was born in Athens, Greece. Josephine went to an American school, then later graduated from Deree (the American College of Athens), and received her degree in marketing. It was only six years ago when she realised she wanted to become a singer- yes you heard that right!

The busy performer has had quite the year, with the success of “Ti”, which was the follow up of her hit “Magia”. She has managed to accumulate over 20 million views combined on YouTube for both hits, both songs still climbing the charts, and a tour all over Greece this past summer—it is without a doubt she is becoming a female pop sensation. And did we mention, she is only 27?

We sat down with Josephine before her show at Baraki in Tarpon Springs, Florida to talk: a little about her background, inspirations, and we got an exclusive scoop! Check out the interview with Josephine below, and be sure to check her out on tour if you’re in the U.S!

And make sure you stay tuned right here at GCT for future news on Josephine and all your other favorite artists!
