Greece’s Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias condemned Turkey's invasion in Syria on Wednesday and called it a "big mistake”.

Dendias made the comments during an interview with public broadcaster ERT1 and added that Turkey has repeatedly made such mistakes over the last years.

The Greek Foreign Minister said that Turkey's attempt to create a zone by moving refugees from Syria and relocating them there as a zone against the Kurdish is illegal, pointing out that the movement of migrants must be subject to some basic principles: to be voluntary and decent.

"This is not the case now. Therefore, what Turkey is doing is contrary to the human rights of the refugees on the Turkish territory," he added.

At the same time, he said that Turkey "is opening a front" which does not help it. "The Turks have made a very big mistake," Dendias underlined.
