A fan page of Turkey's Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, posted a map of Turkey on his Facebook page, which included northern Greece and the Greek islands of the Aegean, the entire Cyprus, as well as half of Syria.
The Facebook page is understood to be run by Turkish nationalists who posted the map with a message in Turkish Akar saying" We have no eye's on anyone's land. We will only take back what is ours."
The map also includes all of northern Iraq including Sulaymaniyah, Erbil, and Kirkuk.
Although there are many Turks who have liked his post, Greeks who have seen the Facebook post have mostly placed laughed at it, with one man Sotiris Badouvanos commenting, "It is really amazing, to feed all those lies to your people and some of them to believe those lies!"
