Popular Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston finally gave in to social media and created an official Instagram account with her very first post being so popular it crashed the platform!
Jen posted a selfie with her former ‘Friends’ castmates and real-life pals Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, and Matt LeBlanc.
“And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too,” she captioned the photo adding “HI INSTAGRAM 👋🏻.”
The A-list celeb whose father is Greek American actor John Aniston, and godfather was Telly Savalas, got verified within minutes and her bio is a short and sweet "My friends call me Jen."
Within 12 hours Jen gained over 5 million followers, including fellow celebrities, ex-husbands, and fans from all around the world!
Her gal pal Reese Witherspoon and ex-husband Justin Theroux, who remains on good terms with the star were quick to welcome her to social media, with Reese writing, "YASSSS!!! Welcome to Insta Jen!!"
Justin added, "Woot-Woot” adding the hashtag "#first".
Just the other day, when asked if she would ever join Instagram while promoting her upcoming Morning Show Apple TV series, Aniston told Entertainment Tonight, "What you resist, persists. It's something that is a part of our world now and it's not going away." So Jen decided if you can't beat them, join them!
The 50-year-old actress has followed just over 100 accounts on Instagram including The Ellen Show, Pharrell Williams, Jeniffer Garner, Orlando Bloom, Eva Mendes, Nicole Kidman, Tom Ford and her ex-husband, Justin Theroux.
The first four people she followed, of course, were her favourite friends Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc, and Schwimmer. Perry is not on Insta either!
