Armenia invites Greek President for official visit

The President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian invited the President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos on an official visit.

Mr Pavlopoulos accepted the invitation and will pay a two-day official visit to the Republic of Armenia, today, Tuesday.

On the first day, Pavlopoulos will lay a wreath at the Genocide Memorial at 12.00 and at 15.10 he will have a private meeting with the President of Armenia, followed by joint statements to the press.

Later on the same day, the Greek President will meet with the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and at 19:30 he will attend an official dinner in honor of the President of Armenia.

On the second and final day, Wednesday at 11:30 am Pavlopoulos will meet with the President of the National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan and at 13.10 he will take a guided tour to the Yerevan Cognac Factory.

At 15.20 the Greek President will meet with representatives of Greek diaspora and later on he will visit the Armenian Patriarchate where at 17.10 he will meet with Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, the supreme head of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
